It comes after the world's four largest tobacco firms lost a legal challenge against the Government's new plain packaging rules at the High Court on Thursday. Thirty-five million pounds is spent every year and over 100 operations take place every day removing decaying teeth from children resulting in the missing school according to the local government association. A third of 12-year-olds are too embarrassed to smile because of the state of their teeth. Dental health professionals are hoping to improve this by highlighting three key messages for National Smile Month. Dental surgeon Steve Williams spoke to Georgie.
