As promotions and marketing activity shifts online, fraudsters are following suit. Advertisers are vulnerable because they have to rely on data detailing consumers visits to websites or clicks on ads. And it’s that data on online behaviour which is increasingly being faked - so advertisers pay for non- existent viewings of their messages. Recent studies have suggested that worldwide, markets could soon be wasting billions on digital advertising that is never seen. Rupert Staines, European MD of RadiumOne, joined Share Radio to talk on this.

The Bank of England has warned that households face a sharp upturn in inflation over the next few months after tearing up its economic forecasts. The rise in the cost of living is now predicted to shoot up to 2.7% next year, nearly three times its current level of 1%. The new outlook for inflation means the Bank has dropped the suggestion that it could cut interest rates to near-zero to stimulate growth. Dr Howard Archer, Chief European & U.K. Economist/ Senior Director at IHS Economics, joined Share Radio to look at the outcomes of 'Super Thursday'.

Robert Merrylees on the shipping industry's expectations for next year.

Rodolphe Saadé, an executive of French shipping giant CMA CGM, said earlier this week that none of the top twenty biggest container-shipping companies are likely to post a profit in 2016. He said that container shipping: "has been strangled by two years of rock-bottom freight rates that have caused some operators to go bankrupt and others to seek partnerships to stay afloat." To find out what is expected for next year, Share Radio's Matt Cox sought out Robert Merrylees, Policy Analyst at the UK Chamber of Shipping.
