Conservatives have won the Cumbrian seat of Copeland in a by-election, marking the first time in 35 years a governing party has taken a seat from a rival at a UK by-election. Jeremy Corbyn has declared he won't resign in the aftermath of this result and when he was asked earlier today at a press conference whether he was the problem, he replied no. Simon was joined by Dr Mark Garnett, senior lecturer in Politics at Lancaster University joins me now.

RBS has today recorded nine years of losses, with the latest £7bn loss taking the bank's total losses since 2008 to £58bn. That's more than the £45.5bn taxpayer-funded bailout.
